Art Licensing Expert to speak at Pinole Artisan meeting

One of the really cool things about being on the speaker committee for my local artist group, the Pinole Artisans, is that I get to pick who I want to hear! For the upcoming meeting (on Friday April 5th, 7 to 9 pm) I’m really looking forward to the presentation by Joan Beiriger.  A well-known expert in art licensing, Joan has helped countless people learn the ins and outs of the biz through her very popular blogwhere she features a wide range of extremely informative articles about the art licensing industry.

Joan, a self-taught artist, began educating herself about art licensing in the late 1990s. She also embraced the computer, and today is an expert in using Photoshop and other applications to manipulate her art for specific products at her licensees’ request. Joan has created a robust body of art collections specifically for use on products. Her art has been licensed for numerous stationery, non-profit funding, gift and home décor products, including greeting cards, gift wrap, gift bags, wall décor, decorative flags and mailbox wraps. You can see the wide range of Joan’s  artwork on her website.
