The 11th Annual Fall Seminar on Bay Area Gardening, “The Wild and Wonder of Bay Area Gardening,” sponsored by the University of California Alameda County Master Gardeners, will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 8:30 am to 3 pm at the Lake Merritt Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Ave., Oakland.
My wonderful husband George McRae will speak at Session 3, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, about “Creating Habitat for Wildlife.” He will show my photos and discuss how to attract and make a beautiful home for birds, bees, butterflies and other pollinators in your garden and your world. The entire seminar covers the garden cycle from dream to harvest, with twelve workshops presented by outstanding garden experts.
You can choose 3 of the 90 minute workshops, one in each class period (a maximum of one Master Food Preserver class per attendee). The seminar includes morning refreshments, a book sale and lunchtime demonstrations. Click here to sign up online. Some classes have limited enrollment, so for best choice sign up now.
