The City of El Cerrito’s Arts and Culture Commission invites local artists to submit proposals to display their work in the rotating Gallery Space in the El Cerrito City Hall.
The Gallery Space is a north-facing wall on the second floor loft hallway in City Hall, overlooking the lobby, with plenty of natural light. The exhibit space is 42.75 feet in length and 7.33 feet in height, with a rail-wire hanging system.
The ACC reviews submissions for the Gallery Space twice a year in May and November. Submissions are due by the last working day of the first week of May and November. Preference is given to artists who are residents of El Cerrito. Proposals for joint or group shows are welcome.
Interested artists should provide a proposal including an electronic sample of their works of art to be presented to the ACC for review and consideration. Proposals and examples should be submitted to Suzanne Iarla, Community Outreach Specialist/ACC Staff Liaison, via email. Proposals on a CD or USB drive may be delivered to her attention at 10890 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, CA 94530. You may also call Suzanne at 510-215-4318.
Complete guidelines for submission can be downloaded from the City’s website.
